TFR stand-alone version? Empty
PostSubject: TFR stand-alone version?   TFR stand-alone version? EmptyThu Sep 25, 2014 7:09 am

Dear Steve, first I´d like to thank you for the wonderful work you did with the F-111.
I recently installed it and have to say I never enjoyed an aircraft so much before! It´s unbelievable that this is FREEWARE! So an extra "thank you" for making this great aircraft and its features available to the whole FS-community.

There is one thing, though, I NEED to ask, because it would be too good to be true if that could happen: Is it possible (from a technical standpoint as well as from your willingness to do so) to have a "stand-alone" version of the TFR? I´m flying the B-52 for a club called "virtual USAF" (vusaf.org) and would love to have this feature working in my B-52. (Too bad that real USAF has scrapped all their F-111s, otherwise we would all use your F-111 from now on!)
However, I could fully understand if you don´t want to share the TFR to other aircraft, since you are currently providing the only system worldwide to have this feature in FSX. Thank you for your work and I´m awaiting your reply.

Sincerely

HAJO

I am glad you are enjoying the F-111s. As a former FB-111A avionics specialist in the Air Force it has been a work of love.

As for the TFR I am sorry to say that it would be virtualy impossible to add it to any other aircraft. It is so complex and integrated into almost every flight, nav gauge, virtual flight computers and more that were created for the TFR and auto TF. But then if it was easy everyone would have done it. My gauge programer is amazing.

Thanks
Steve

Steve, thank you for the quick response! Too bad it won´t work on other aircraft... But this makes your F-111 even more unique!

Fortunately we have a so called "Confederate Air Force" in the vUSAF, where we can fly "old" aircraft for fun. The F-111 will surely be one of the mainstays there!
